At
Gold Canyon Community Church we believe God desires
his servants to partner together, to work in teams
so as to further the cause of Christ. We
believe the same principle applies when it comes
to Sunday morning worship - a worship team, where
various team players can use their musical gifts
to their maximum potential, can best lead the
body in corporate worship.
Rory Noland, music director at Willow
Creek Community Church, puts it like this: "The
beauty of working in teams is that together we
can accomplish greater things for God than if we
were on our own. We have a saying around
Willow Creek that goes like this: We come together
to do what no one of us could do alone."
Those
who serve on our worship teams do so with a commitment
to show up on time, model true servanthood, aim
for excellence and remember that our true audience
is the Audience of One - our Lord and Savior. Our
worship team currently meets on Tuesday nights
at 7 pm at Peralta Trail Elementary School to
practice.
If you're interested in being a part of the team,
either as an instrumentalist or vocalist, please
call Chris Smith (602-432-0329) and he'll be happy
to setup a time to meet and possibly audition. Chris
strives to give everyone on the worship team all
the resources they need to do an excellent job at
preparing for Sunday morning worship. |
