"Worship is the submission of all our nature to God"
- William Temple

At Gold Canyon Community Church worship defines our very purpose statement: "to glorify God".  We believe worship should be the centerpiece of our gatherings and should continue outside a one-hour Sunday morning service for the believer. We know that our God is a creative God and that He desires us to worship Him in many different ways: music, drama and the spoken word, among others.  Because we believe worship is the true lifeblood of the church we devote a lot of time and energy to ensuring our worship is the very best it can be, because God deserves our very best (Malachi 1:6-14).

Most of us typically associate the word "worship" with the music sung and played at church, but our worship also encompasses the spoken word (i.e. the sermon) as well as other creative outlets.  If we define worship as a grateful response to who God is and the life he offers through His Son Jesus Christ then everything we say and do both inside and outside the church should be an "act of worship" (Romans 12:1-2).  At Gold Canyon Community Church we try to approach our times of corporate worship with this in mind, that everything we say and do would bring glory to God and point others towards His redemptive love.  We are seriously committed to using the gifts and passions God has given us to help usher others into the presence of God.

If you're interested in learning more about worship in general or about our ministries specifically we invite to check out our collection of resources at your leisure.  We are in need of committed individuals who are willing to serve - if this sounds like you, please call the church office at 288-5600 or send us an email.
