Overcoming Our Fears in Gold
Canyon
[Stream/Download
mp3 - approximately 6.9 MB]
How
do we overcome our fears about sharing our faith? We take
heed of Jesus' words to his disciples in Matthew 10, where
he commands us to not be afraid. To discover the reasons
we should not fear witnessing, tune into Pastor Dave's
challenging and convicting message.

Overcoming Our Foe in Gold
Canyon
[Stream/Download

Pastor
Dave speaks on the first part of a two-part series on
being Overcomers in Gold Canyon. Through a look into the
book of Revelation Pastor Dave reveals that we as believers
overcome Satan through the work of the cross, through
witnessing and through a willingness to take risks for
the kingdom. Dave reminds us that we are more than conquerors
through the power of Christ.

Imitating Jesus
[Stream/Download
mp3 - approximately 7.2 MB]
Continuing
in a series on Responding to Jesus, Pastor Dave has us
look at Jesus' time in the Garden as the most severe crisis
moment in human history. If you've seen the Passion movie,
you saw a vivid portrayal of Jesus' anguish, praying to
the Father as his closest friends slept the night away.
Dave encourages us to see prayer not as the last option
(if all else fails...) but instead as continual. He also
points out how we all need those "garden" friends
(even though they sometimes fail us), and we hear a testimony
from one of the church's elders, Jack Allison.

Dave shares the story of Mary anointing Jesus in Luke's
gospel and shares how Mary's act demonstrates the sort
of love we ought to have for the Savior.
October

Worshipping Jesus
[Stream/Download
mp3 - approximately 8 MB]
In
his first "official" message at GCCC Pastor
Dave Abbatacola has us look at the story of the blind
man in John 9 and how we need to be sick enough to be
healed, close enough to be surprised and broken enough
to worship. Even though he was healed, life wasn't a
bed of roses for the blind man after Jesus touched him.
What can we learn from this story in John's gospel? Tune
in as Pastor Dave begins his October series on Responding
to Jesus.

September
12, 2004 - Before the Battle
[Stream/Download
mp3 - approximately 7 MB]
New
senior pastor Dave Abbatacola comes to share a message
of preparation as we as a church enter the next phase
of ministry life. Recognizing that we are in a battle
together - a God-given quest to spread the Good News -
Dave has us take a look at the story of Joshua for inspiration
and instruction. There are things we need to remember
as fellow comrades-in-arms - most importantly, the "battle
belongs to the Lord".
Be encouraged to "fight the good fight" as you
listen to Dave's first sermon at GCCC - and pray that God
would use his servant in a mighty way.
