Home Group Ministries
Check out this semester's groups!

What is a Home Group?  HG's are small groups of 8-12 adults, which, as they grow, will branch out to form new groups.  Home groups typically meet weekly during the spring (February to May) and fall (Sept. to Dec.) semesters in homes where the atmosphere is warm and informal.  Each group is led by a designated Home Group leader, specially trained for the role.  Leaders are dedicated to facilitating growth and spiritual maturity in the lives of the group members.  Each home group meets at a unique time and place during the week, some providing childcare.

Home Groups at Gold Canyon Community Church gather as the Body of Christ in its smallest form to:

Know and be known
Meeting regularly in small groups in people’s homes provides us with the opportunity to spend time together and get to know each other in a warm and friendly atmosphere

Love and be loved
As we share each other’s joys and burdens, close relationships and life-long friendships are formed.

Serve and be served
Relationships are deepened as we have the opportunity to serve the other members of our group when they have a need.  The group also provides us with a resource for prayer and support when we are facing troubles.

Celebrate and be celebrated
Each meeting includes time for worship, study, and prayer, when we can celebrate all that Christ has done for us and share in the joy of each other’s spiritual journeys.

Home Fellowship Groups exist at Gold Canyon Community Church to:

To provide a setting where close personal relationships can develop and love can grow (Ephesians 6:16-19).

To foster an environment where there is an exploration of God's Word to provide truth for living (James 1:22-25).

To strengthen faith and to help lead others to Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 2:8).
